The McClain County 9-1-1 policy requires a road to be given a name if there are more than three residences, businesses, or industries accessing the same road, regardless of the length. Road names cannot be duplicated throughout the county in order to avoid confusion. Roads names are also prohibited to be named after businesses or individuals unless it can be demonstrated that a particular family name carries significant and appropriate historical context.

To apply for a road name change or creation of a new road, fill out this form and return it to our office. If you are wanting to build a new structure on this new road, you will receive a new address once the McClain County Emergency Management office has issued your building permit.
